Shay placed down a set of silverware on the table and looked up at the clock. She had less than 5 minutes till the end of her shift. Then she'd be free to do what she wanted to for the next couple of hours. Shayla practically skipped over to one of the few remaining tables. “What can I get you?” she asked and jotted down the replies with a smile. She handed in the order to the kitchen staff, and untied the small apron around her waist. “I'm off.. okay” she said, phrasing her question as a fact. She was sure leaving a few minutes early wouldn't hurt and honestly, her co-workers would be able to cope. She smiled as she pulled on her coat and made her way home for the night.
Though she didn't stay home for long. In fact after changing and putting her work uniform in the wash she made her way back into town, heading for the local bar. Pour Judgement, it was rather cheesy in her opinion but she was able to get a drink there so it didn't matter to her. She walked in, pushing the door open with a big grin. “Hey” she smiled at the bartender and sat at the bar, “A double vodka and coke please” she smiled, fiddling with her necklace.
She never binged when it came to drinking. She hated hangovers and she hated knowing that she would be vulnerable when drunk. As the drink was slid over the bar towards her, Shay hadn't over the money, and swung around on the bar stool, sipping at her drink with an smile on her face. She could feel the alcohol warming her bones, as she sipped through more of her drink. She'd drunk down half of it before she realised, and rested the glass back on the bar, asking the bartender for a drink of water.
There was an empty barstool next to her, that she hoped someone would fill, because she was bored, almost bored enough to start up idle chatter with the bartender, but not quite that bored, nevertheless, her lips were still turned up in a smile. She looked around, and spotted a darts board. Maybe she could persuade someone to challenge her to a game. Surely darts weren't overly different to shooting? Shay didn't know she'd never actually attempted to try darts before, but if the guys could do it surely she could to.
