For the first time in a few weeks, Gillian Connors had a night off from the resort. She worked at the bar for a big party in the early afternoon and one of the other bartenders had the evening shift. It was a good feeling. Gillian couldn't help but to grin through the whole party. A few guests even asked why she was grinning. Gillian didn't mind telling them about it and they seemed happy about it. One of the regulars even came to the party. When Gilly told them about getting a night off, they were pretty excited about it. "Good for you, Gilly, I'm happy for ya. In all the time I've spent here, you haven't taken a day or night off for yourself. Live it up, girl!" the regular said and Gillian chuckled. She normally worked a few nights a week, but lately, she's been filling in for other bartenders. She doesn't really mind, since it means a bit more money in her pocket. But even a hard-working like Gilly needs a night off to do whatever she wanted. Whats the time? Well it's gotta be close to midnight My body's talking to me It say,'Time for danger'She hadn't gone out in a long while, just to have a drink or two and have fun. When she clocked out of her shift and headed to her little apartment, Gillian stripped off her uniform and hopped into the shower. The hot water felt so good upon all her aching muscles from mixing drinks and being on her feet during the whole party. She then sang to herself, RENT's "Out Tonight," as she washed up her body and hair under the hot spray. After ten to fifteen minutes, she emerges and proceeds to dry herself off with a big, fluffy towel. She brushes out her wet hair and pulls it up in a messy-looking bun. There was some time to kill, before she would head out, so she changed into comfy clothes and had flipped on the TV. She relaxed on the couch, flipping through the channels, for a little while. Once evening rolled around, it was time to get ready for Gillian's night of good times and fun. She turned on some music, to get a bit pumped up for the night ahead. Her outfit that she planned in her head wasn't too girly, but not too tomboyish either. A corset top and jeans, with ankle-high boots and a leather jacket. Gillian put on just a little bit of make-up and some accessories to bring the ensemble all together. Once everything was set, she picked up her clutch purse (filled with her few essentials) and was off to the club. She had texted her sister Rebecca to see if she wanted to join her. No response yet. It says 'I wanna commit a crime Wanna be the cause of a fightIt didn't take her too long to park and make it inside. Gillian had gone straight to the bar, making her way through the crowd. As she reached the bar, Gillian waved at the bartender and he soon came over to her. "Rum and Coke, please." she said, when he asked what she wanted to drink. Parker's house was a train wrec. It always had been, but with the TV crew egging them on to make everything a bigger deal and the star struck nature of his family, things were getting out of hand. Given that, Parker decided to storm out of his house to go to the club. A camera man followed him closely and hopped in the back of his limo. Parker sighed and had a hot of whisky in the back of the car on the ride to the club.
He got out, with his personal camera crew, which drew the eyes of sports fans and fame junkies alike. Parker got in easily, the bouncer jokingly asking for tickets to the next football season. He decided to head to the bar downstairs as opposed to the VIP section. Plenty of girls flirted with him, a few guys too, and he flirted with them all, buying a round for a gaggle of coeds.
After a while, some had left and he found himself looking down the bar at a brunette who was paying no attention to him. She was fairly pretty, not a bombshell, but her figure was great. Parker downed his current drink, the happy familiar buzz of being tipsy running through his veins. He slid into the seat beside her, his camera man nearby. "I'll pay for that drink if you tell me your name beautiful." Parker said with a smile.

Gillian had been sitting there, listening to the music playing in the club, when an attractive man decided to wander her way and claim the seat beside her. "I'll pay for that drink if you tell me your name beautiful." She turned to look at the man, cracking a smile. "Only if you'll do the same courtesy and tell me yours." she had responded simply. Her eyes took in the man's features, noting that the man was indeed attractive and that he must've found her to be. At least, somewhat attractive. Why else would he be talking to her? Gillian wasn't too used to men coming up to her like this and calling her beautiful and what not. It's not that she think that she's unattractive or anything like that, just not used to this kind of attention.
Maybe it's because you don't tend to dress like a girly girl enough, her inner voice whispered. Gillian gave the voice a good, swift kick in the butt. That seemed to shut it up for now. She didn't think it was for that reason alone, she thought that there was more to it and some guys didn't seem to care about whether or not she dressed all girly.
I mean, there was Noah in college and then Jack from the resort. Which seemed to remind her, she's never really come across this man before..though he seemed a little familiar. Was he staying at the resort or was he a local? For all she knew, he could be just a tourist passing through. She didn't know for sure. There was one way to find out, but she didn't want to just ask him outright. She inhaled slow and deep, as the song began to change to another one. A slower number, to be precise.
A moment came and went. "Gillian." she finally added. She didn't want to leave him hanging and never know her name. The bartender seemed to finally make his round back to her with her drink.

Parker chuckled lightly. This chick had spirit, and obviously wasn't easily swayed by his celebrity. "Deal." He said, flagging the waited so her could order a beer. If he had any more shots, he'd be on the floor in no time, and if not passed out than certainly unable to get off in the bedroom...
"Gillian," He repeated, swirling his mug of beer in his hand as the bartender delivered it. "Well, I'm Parker." He said with a smile, he could feel his camera man zooming in as he unconsciously leaned toward her. Parker didn't always announce that he was being taped to go on TV, especially if it didn't provide him with enough drama, but sometimes it was good to just clear the air.
"And that's Paul," he said, pointing to his pretty obvious cameraman. "I'm on a reality TV show, don't pay him any attention though.... ". Parker rolled his eyes a little. "Matthews Family? Pro-football players?" he suggested, trying to see if she knew him at all or if it rang any bells. parker liked being recognized.

His chuckle sounded nice. Not too much of a low rumble, yet it doesn't sound too annoying. She didn't mind listening to his, if it's to be heard again. Some people's chuckles/laughs were either way too high-pitched for Gillian's liking or annoying. One guy at work has a laugh that makes her think there's a donkey in the room. It's more of a bray than a laugh. "Deal." She nodded her head, as the man turned and ordered a beer. "Gillian," he had said, when the bartender returned with his beer.
Gilly liked the sound of her name on his lips. Of course, she liked it whenever her name's spoken. Not a lot of people have the same name, so it makes Gillian feel a bit...unique. A moment came and went. "Well, I'm Parker." Gillian smiled, repeating the name mentally. That way, she remembered it. "And that's Paul," She turned her head and saw that there was a cameraman behind them and was watching their every move. Her cheeks started to heat up a little, as Parker's voice dragged her attention away from the man with the camera. "I'm on a reality TV show, don't pay him any attention though.... ". She gave a slight nod, as Parker rolled his eyes. Thank goodness she already had her drink.
She took a sip of it and savored the taste of Rum, mixed in with Coke, before swallowing it. He spoke up again."Matthews Family? Pro-football players?" Gillian looked confused for about a moment or two, before recalling the commercial previews of the show. "Oh, I thought you looked a little familiar. Never watched, but saw the previews for it though. And now, I'm a part of it.." she answered, grabbing another sip when she was done talking. Gillian wasn't used to being the center of attention, especially in this capacity.
Please don't let me make a fool of myself, she had mentally prayed. She cracked a little smile, trying to ignore the man with the camera as much as possible.

Parker chuckled as she checked out the camera man, obviously unsure of what she thought on the whole thing. He didn't particularly blame her, but he was used to it all by now. She said she'd at least seen the commercial, so at least she did know he was famous and not just a pervert or something. When she referenced being on the show and shrugged. "Depends how interesting our time together is, not everything makes it to the show, obviously." The damn camera followed him around every minute of every day, they hardly had time for everything in a once a week 45min television show.
Parker took another swig of his beer. This was going to be no fun at all if she clammed up. "So, lovely, tell me about yourself," Parker insisted, moving to semi block her view of Paul so maybe she'd start to flirt with him again. Girls loved to talk about themselves generally speaking, sometimes they got all silly about what did he want them to say etc, but most girls had a little story they liked to trot out.
ooc- sorry It's short

Parker's chuckle didn't go unnoticed, when she looked over at the cameraman. The last time she was on camera, was when the resort was doing a little promo video. It shows her working behind the bar and serving a few drinks to customers. She didn't mind that too much, since it was for work. But this time, however, is a bit more nerve-wracking since this was her so-called life outside of the resort. Not much of a social life and close to non-existent love life.
A moment or two came and went. "Depends how interesting our time together is, not everything makes it to the show, obviously." Gillian nodded, knowing that he had a point. "That is true. We'll just have to see which way this night goes, don't we?" she responded, before taking a little sip of her drink.
He had taken another swig of his beer. "So, lovely, tell me about yourself," She could both her cheeks heat up a little bit. "Well, what do you want to know? My whole life or just a cliff-notes version?" she responded, a simple-enough question. The music changed again, back to more of an upbeat number. Gillian rested her elbow upon the bar and rested her hand upon her neck. So, he wanted her to talk about herself huh? She didn't think there was a lot to talk about and it was also something that she wasn't good at doing. Especially if some of the facts have to be omitted. Like her involvement with Noah and her pregnancy/miscarriage. That's something not good to be talking about in a bar situation and when you first meet a guy. Especially one that gets followed around by a cameraman.

Parker smirked lightly and lifted his beer to her words about seeing where the night would lead. "I'll drink to that," He said lifting his beer lightly in her direction before taking a swig of the golden liquid. Beer was not his favorite, but he wasn't looking to get blackout drunk tonight. As for the night with Gillian, she had potential so far, so parker decided she was worth the time to explore his options with... though, there was a cute guy at the other end of the bar giving him the eye and Parker couldn't help but smirk a little wider.
He loved being famous.
Part of fame anyway.
Parker laughed. "Spark notes are good." Most girls had their elevator speech prepared, but some hadn't given it much thought, he'd know soon which one she was. The most well crafted and interesting ones were always rehearsed, practiced to pack as much information into a little place, like the proverbial description of a movie in an elevator with a famous director. You either got the job or not, or in this case, you either got laid or not.

"I'll drink to that," Gillian smiled, as Parker raised his glass a little to her and took a swig of his beer. She raised her Rum & Coke slightly before taking a sip. A moment came and went. Now she'll admit, at least to herself, that she's curious to see what happens here. He's attractive and all of that, but does she really want to have a possible one-night stand with him? Gillian isn't really the type of girl to have one-night stands with guys she just met. Just not her style.
"Spark notes are good." Gilly bit her lower lip for a moment or two. How to sum up her life within a reasonable amount? She took a few more moments, to get things straight and in order within her head. Gillian cracked a little smile. She wasn't too good at talking about herself in some length, but she was going to try. "Well, okay then. I'm not from around here. More like Upstate New York. Um.." she began to say, but her voice trailed off a bit. She took another sip, her drink now half-gone. "Came here with my sister, maybe 4 or 5 years ago now. She's a voice teacher in town and I'm just a bartender..over at the resort. Nothing too entertaining, really. It pays pretty decent." she added, once the Rum & Coke went down her throat smoothly. Another moment passed on by.
"So, Mr. Football Star, why don't you tell me something about yourself? Like..what got you into football in the first place? Is it something that your family wanted for you or did you want it?" she asked him, it was only fair. And besides, she didn't want to be the only one talking all night. It wouldn't be any fun, if she talked his ear off and what not. Gillian's not much of a chatterbox, anyway. If he was expecting that, then he'll be quite disappointed.

Leave it to a chick to ask the loaded question, thought Parker. Granted, he played it both ways when he got asked this. He did the bored act that his dad had wanted him to play and follow in his footsteps and he just happened to be too good at it to fake it, or the I love football speech. The first one was more the truth, but told less smugly and proudly as he usually gave the press. Parker clucked his tongue and wagged his finger at Gillian lightly. "Spark notes love, spark notes." He said. "No more tough questions... but, I grew up in football." Parker shrugged and left it at that.
Parker decided to turn the conversation back to her before they got all distracted with his father and football. She wasn't his shrink or something. "A woman who knows her way around alcohol, that's hot." He said with a little smile. It was certainly convenient. Though, most bartenders knew flirting was part of the job, she seemed to be a little rusty at flirting.

A moment came and went. Gillian probably figured that he didn't asked that question by women very often, or maybe he did and knew how to play it off. Parker had clucked his tongue and wagged his finger at Gilly, as if she was being reprimanded by the teacher in front of the class. She raised an eyebrow at him, just as he spoke. "Spark notes love, spark notes." She smirked a bit. "No more tough questions... but, I grew up in football." She leaned in slightly. Another moment passed on by. "Fair enough, but what are you going to do if I don't stay away from the tough questions? Hmm?" she replied, throwing down a bit of a challenge. Gillian can be a bit stubborn like that.
Parker must not like to talk about himself, since he turned the conversation back to her and her response about working as a bartender. "A woman who knows her way around alcohol, that's hot." She smiled and gave Parker a little nod. "Well, thank you Parker. It's not the best job around, but it pays well enough." she responded, while taking a sip of her drink. It looks pretty low, so she signaled the bartender for another one. "So, what brings you out here to the club tonight?" she asked, turning the conversation back towards him. Two can play this game, Gillian knew that for sure. She wasn't going to be the one talking all night. He would have to do some of the talking, at least.
She wasn't the greatest at flirting, she knew that for certain. It was different, when she was working. Gillian could work up her little charm for tips and what not, but in her social and love life, she didn't work it so well.

Parker shrugged but grinned at her. "I guess you'll see huh?" He teased lightly. She wasn't much of a flirt but she was a bit feisty, which counted for so much more in bed too. Parker wasn't sure if she was going to be a good lay, or if she'd even let it get that far. Calling her hot hadn't really seemed to do the trick.
Parker laughed. "What brings anyone to a club?" He asked with a smile. But then he figured he'd answer his own question, lest she was one of those people who just came to people watch or stir in solitude (which was really what a bar was for not a club). "Booze, music, sex." He said. Sometimes people got busy right on the dance floor at clubs, and he was always game for that himself. But he was always game for sex.
"What did you come here for?" Parker asked her, raising an eyebrow in her direction as he downed the rest of his beer. The alcohol had made him happily tipsy, a little bit drunk even, and Parker liked the feeling. Not that he needed it to be blunt or outgoing.

"I guess you'll see huh?" She nodded her head, smiling at his teasing. What she lacks in the flirting department, she makes up for in a feisty demeanor. Gillian's not quite one of the shy and quiet types, not afraid to speak what crosses her mind.
Parker had laughed, when she asked what brings him out clubbing tonight. His response had a definite point in it, Gilly will give Parker that much. "What brings anyone to a club?" She gave a tiny shrug of her shoulders. He seemed capable to answer his own question, which was fine by her. She downed the last of her drink, just as the bartender brought over her second one for the night. "Booze, music, sex." She nodded again. "Which one are you? Or all of the above?" she responded. It was a fair enough question. Why not ask it? Her gaze briefly drifted off and toward the dance floor, mostly filled with writhing and grooving bodies up against each other. She could faintly smell the sweat from over here. It was mixed with cheap cologne and perfume.
"What did you come here for?" She turned her gaze back to Parker, as he asked her the same question - but in different wording. "Got the night off from the resort, so at least the first two. Can't go wrong with booze and music. Sex? Not sure on that, haven't really tried the whole one-night stand thing..but then again, there is a first time for everything.." she answered. If she ended up having a one-night stand tonight, then she wouldn't mind it if Parker was the chosen one. Gillian was no idiot. Some guys were interested in a night of sex and that was all. Her mind decided to drift back to a repressed memory and Noah's face popped up. He never pushed things with her, the deal only sealed after a little while. He was good about that, until she told him that she was pregnant. Noah began to drift after that, which hurt her more than she let on to anyone. A moment came and went, as she took a sip of her new drink and savored it before swallowing.

"The best nights are made up of all three," He said with a smirk. Parker didn't much care on the order but he was a firm believer in semi-drunken erotic dancing. No place was better than a dark club with thumping music.
"Well, you should," Parker said with a grin. "Hot anonymous sex is fun. No promises, just whatever your body wants." He swiveled his hips a little bit in his chair. He liked no strings attached. It was full 'Id' animalistic, amoral, need driven part of the mind, according to Freud. It was always about pleasure, and Parker liked to be pleased.
"Come on, dance with me." Parker prompted, hopping off his stool and motioning toward the dance floor.

"The best nights are made up of all three," Gillian nodded her head a little. Parker had seemed to know what he's talking about this kind of thing. He must have some experience, at least more than me, she then thought to herself. As she pondered that thought, Parker spoke once more. When she admitted she hasn't really gotten into the one-night stand thing before.
"Well, you should," Gillian had raised an eyebrow slightly. "Hot anonymous sex is fun. No promises, just whatever your body wants." His grin didn't go unnoticed and Gillian couldn't help but chuckle a little bit, when Parker swiveled his hips in his chair. He certainly knew what he was talking about. Well, Parker is a celebrity after all. Good-looking celebrity, to be exact, and it can be a bit of a turn-on for some. Gillian wasn't one of them. Status didn't matter to her at all. Noah didn't come from a rich family or anything like that. She mentally gave that thought a quick shove back to where it belonged, she didn't need to be thinking about him right now.
He had his chance to be with her, even longer than it lasted. He blew that royally, by distancing himself from her when Gilly was carrying his child. "Come on, dance with me." His voice broke her train of thought. She had watched somewhat, as he hopped off his chair and gestured to the dance floor. She then realized that she still had her leather jacket on. That wouldn't do much good on the dance floor, heat would be a bit of a problem. Gillian looked at the bartender and waved him over to her. "Hey, can you do me a favor and tuck my jacket and clutch behind the bar?" she asked, shrugging the jacket off as she spoke. He nodded his head a little and said that he would look after her things. "Thanks." she replied and slid off his seat.
She then stood beside Parker and cracked a smile. "Ready to dance?" she asked him simply.
OOC: Better short than nothing at all. Hope you did well on the midterm. What was the subject?
