Toby has blonde hair that is short-ish, and he usually leaves it as it is after brushing it, although sometimes he uses hair gel to spike it up. Toby has oval-shaped blue eyes, and since he has blonde hair, his family and old friends often joked that he was obviously 'trouble' even though that wasn't the case. Toby stands at 6`2 in height and he has a rather muscular body from working out and from how much swimming and athletics he used to do. Toby usually wears clothes to fit the occasion, though he favors his casual, comfy clothes the best, though he's willing to make an effort for something special. He doesn't have any piercings or tattoos but he's wondering about getting a tattoo.

Toby was born in London, and he was raised mostly by his mother, since she was around a lot more often than his father was. Back then, his father was far too busy to pay any attention to Jessica, and even his son, despite what Jessica tried to tell Toby. He was named after his uncle, who was killed in a car crash, and he was Jessica's favorite brother. Eventually, Carl started paying more attention to both Jessica and Toby...however, this was only in his drunk state, which is how he often came home. The minute he was questioned about it, Carl would either get violent, just walk away, or become a coward and start lying. Right from the start, Toby was against lying only for someone's own good. If it was to protect someone or something, however, Toby didn't mind lying. However, his coward of a father was doing it out of selfishness, and even from a young age, Toby could tell. When Toby was 3, his sister Emma was born, and he swore to protect her from Carl, no matter what. He did, mostly.[/blockquote]
Toby was very bright in school and he got good grades, but the minute he said something Carl didn't like, the abuse that Jessica often tried to make Carl forget about would turn onto Toby. He was often battered and bruised, but he told everyone that he got it from some bullies that went to a different school. Nobody questioned it, despite the fact that they were obviously worried. Toby had a very steady and good bond with his sisters and his mother, but he always hated his father. As soon as he passed his exams and got a job, he left home, and winded up down at Aspen, where he started out as a waiter. No sooner than a year later, Emma took Alice there too, and they all started making a living.
Toby sees his sisters daily, and he has dinner with them at least twice a month. Usually more, unless they're busy. Toby sends his mother letters, and just recently he found out that Carl has started having an affair, although his mother had pretended not to notice. He personally thinks that his mother should leave Carl, but Jessica loves Carl too much to do such a thing. Despite the fact that love confuses him sometimes, Toby wants a family one day, and he also wants to be an author, since writing is definitely his strong point, and has been since he was younger.
